update from MC
So chemo # 2 is far superior to chemo # 1. In the first one I was getting a wig, packing and driving to fla. two days after. THIS one i am sipping soups and juices and napping at will. Feel like a princess. WE actually went to an art show in nearby mt dora today in beautiful 77 degree weather. Since this is the first time I have managed to get on this thing i want to thank you all for the inspiring and comforting words, prayers, cards and gifts you have sent my way. And for all the very thoughtful and helpful things you have done for me. I truly am overwhelmed with how nice everyone has been to me.
Kristen will be here for a few more days filling me full of wonderful green things, while she enjoys longs runs on the very flat ground here, and takes long swims in the lap pool. Kind of like I'll scratch your back you scratch mine. I feel so much healthier already having her here.
We are still wondering if I will need chemo #3. According to the folks at Shands, I will but we will check with the team at Penn to be sure. After a couple of days from now I should begin to enjoy some very nice days where I feel very well and up for most anything, still liking a nap in the afternoon
I of course love hearing from you either by post or phone. I want to hear about your lives too, not just this illness which seems to take up a lot of my time. So call, write, whatever you can manage will be loved and appreciated. love mc, meme, mary carol, nana

Alright, update from here. It's about 45 and our backyard is mud and some trees have buds on them. The boys are enjoying their month off of karate by playing hide and seek throughout the three floors with two of their friends. We had dinner at the Finks last night - their wonderful fish tacos and other authentic mexican food. The boys have discovered Monty Python's Holy Grail and have been speaking in hilarious Engish accents. They've got the accent and the typical british shenanigans down pat, Runar especially. "What? Why i've clearly won the duel. You've got no arms." To which the Black Knight responds, "Oh, that's just a flesh wound. C'mon, come at me. What, are you a chicken? Chicken! Chicken!" As the King slices off both of the Knights legs, the Knight continues to fight and then says, "Fine. We'll call it a draw." as the King "gallops" past him while his aid clicks the coconuts together. The boys love the movie.
Glad this chemo session went so much better than the last.

So nice to hear from the Princess herself. I'm glad you feel that way because that's exactly how I want you to feel. I am appreciating this blog and your daughters.
