time on my hands

Well i have now determined that since each proton treatment morning and evening takes about 50 minutes each, that I have 100 minutes of idle time on my hands five days a week. So far I have used most of that time for prayers. i pray for all my family members, my friends, the people in china and burma and africa, da da da.......... But i'm looking for some new people, causes, circumstances to pray for so I'm throwing this out to you, if you have any prayer requests I'm your person because i've got the time. Leave them on the blog or my email alicerosey@aol.com or the phone 610-659-2849. Now when your request is answered tell me, and we'll keep moving forward to something new. I think this can be very beneficial to BOTH of us.

I hope all is well with you, i am doing just fine. Other than a red face and neck, i am asymptomatic. Not being allowed in the sun puts a bit of a damper on being in florida but my front porch is shady and we are touring and learning about jacksonville. love, MC

I've got two requests from the rug rats at my house.

Runar is hoping for an iPod Touch Screen. He knows I'll never buy it for him so he's hoping one drops into his lap somehow.

PLEASE DON'T pray for that!!!!

Ingemar wish is that Runar will keep his hands AND feet to himself for a full 24 hours. Heck, even 2 hours!

I'd like to see that happen as well!

To be perfectly honest, I think Ingemar's wish is actually less likely to come true than Runar's! Really.

The 3rd MRI results are in. The cancer is gone. You heard me. Packed up and left. Flew the coop. Tell it while you're walkin'. According to the radiologist and Dr. O'Malley, "there's no evidence of cancer." A PET scan will be done this Friday to confirm results of the MRI. While MC will still need proton radiation to ensure that no individual cancer cells remain, there will be no anterior craniotomies happenin' in this here family. Instead, MC will have outpatient endoscopic sinus surgery to take a few biopsies for safe measure and clean out her sinuses which, unrelated to the SNUC, have been clogged for years. More to come from the superhero herself......

Finally, a decision

Hi, I'm back from the perfect vacation at the perfect time. I enjoyed the sun, the beach, kayaking, and never gave a thought to the other. Good thing, because when I got home and saw the Dr. at Penn, he of course identified the next step as radiation and chemo. When I asked if instead of doing that he would be willing to "follow me" - after all he can take a little scope and go up and look around quite easily - he said that he would, but would prefer that i have more surgery to remove the dura separating the sinus from the brain, go up and sample the brain and build a new dura. Then he would watch me monthly. After much hemming, hawing, talking with friends who have had cancer, a cancer coach, and an alternative cancer specialist, I have decided to go ahead with the proton radiation and cisplatin chemo for a 6 week period in Florida.
