Good news break
As you see by the photos and video, I had a wonderful weekend at home with ingemar for his fifth grade graduation. It was a wonderful break from my routine in Jacksonville. vThat same weekend Julie went into the hospital with contractions. It's much too early for Lucy and Oliver to come, so they were able to tone down the contractions and are keeping her in room 510 at lankenau hospital until she delivers. The hope is to go at least to 32weeks (another 2-3 weeks) When Lucy and Oliver do arrive it is my understanding that they will remain in the NICU until their natural due date which is towards the end of August. There's been much bedrest and tests and stress and scares and julie and kevin have remained strong throughout. They will make awesome parents for these little ones when they finally make their debut.
I had a nice surprise this week. On Thursday the radiation doc said I was far too red and blistering for only this far into my treatment (due to "cell memory" of the ariamycin I had in the past), so he stopped any further cisplatin and gave me Friday off to get healed up. Wooohoooo!!Tom and Penny (my nursing school rommate from DC) and I immediately left for the villages and we're here now enjoying friends and golf car rides and movies and..... What a perfect break. My neighbor brought over his aloe plant and I have been applying the real stuff a few times a day and am already looking better...... When I return to Jacksonville on Monday I should have 2 weeks and 2 days left!!!!!!!!!!
Ok folks, time is running out... only three people have taken me up on my offer of two rosaries per day. I mean these prayers are literally being proton beamed out there so you know they are potent.
I am so grateful to all of you for hanging in there with me. It's been a long six months for you to remain interested and caring, and every iota of it has been treasured and relished. love, MC

Our little plants are surviving in this (not yet) summer weather we are having. Their little leaves are tinged with purple. We are enjoying fresh lettuce and our own tomatoes. What a treat.
hugs to you always. Love Sally and Larry

As far as those rosaries (unsure of spelling) keep going because as one of the three they are working. Barry and I are 13 days of being smoke free. And I am still loosing weight slowly, down 34lbs. So keep those prayers coming.
Things are warming up here at home temperature wise. There are a lot of changes at good old Kids First coming up. Your picture is in the lab always giving us that smile that we miss so much. Cannot wait to see you again soon when you come home. LOve Pat Taylor
Greetings from Philly. We head out tomorrow morning for State College, PA. Ernsti has a mountain bike race there. The name of it is...and i'm not making this up...the STOOPID FIFTY. And hey, don't be offended, they are referring to how many miles they'll ride. That's 50 single track miles - for you who are very fortunately uninitiated into this mountain biking addiction...that's a thin track of dirt, wide enough for a single person...making it difficult and scary to pass another person! Ernst has found that he's not only a great mountain biker but a hell of a competitor!
Anyhow, from there we head to Nashville, Indiana. You've heard of it, I'm sure. It's smack in between Bean Blossom and Gnaw Bone. We'll be panning for gold with the boys and Grandpa. The 10 inches of rain stirred up the creeks quite a bit and we're thinkin' we just might strike it rich.
love you,
Bridgette
