Introducing Oliver Thomas and Lucy Maureen Vanderslice!

Here's the official announcement from Kevin:

Hello All.....

Well we woke up this morning and Julie was contracting every 5-8mins. They paged the DR and to make a very long story short....the babies arrived.

At 8:52am Oliver Thomas Vanderslice was born. He was 3lbs 6oz and 17.5'' long.

At 8:53am Lucy Maureen Vanderslice was born. She was 3lbs 3oz and 16.5''long.

They were born nice and pink, breathing on their own, and their APGAR scores were 8's and 9's. These are the scores of a normal full term baby.

They are eating through a tube at the moment. They are hooked up to monitors that check their temperature, pulse and oxygen level. They will stay in the NICU for at least 4-6 weeks.

The C-section went well. Julie is feeling good. We are back in room 501 (the suite). She will need to rest until tomorrow morning when they will have her up walking.

Please continue to pray for Lucy and Oliver and Mom.

Love to all ....

-Kevin and Julie (aka Mommy and Daddy)
