Now all that's left is to figure out what your super power is. All that radiation and those protons bouncing around have definitely left you with something that you now can harness and use for good. Spider-like strength?...wait, Super Mom! But what does she do? She unwittingly sings 60's songs into cell phones in the blink of an eye! Hmm, I don't know if that is quite the thing, but my vote is to get yourself an Airstream and tool about the U.S. figuring it out. X-Ray vision? The ability to levitate yourself and others in times of extreme duress? Flame resistant skin? Of course when you find out you will have to get yourself a nice mask and a cape!

To say that I am thrilled and delighted for you would be an understatement. Like all your friends and family, I prayed for your health to be restored...Now I need to get on my knees again and thank him!! To anyone who doubts if prayer works, just look at Meme. But, I do have a question for Meme...With all the radiation you received, will you light up at night? Hah hah!!

We are so relieved that you have done so well. You are a wonderful example for all of us - good humor, good vibes, good juicing etc. We think of you everyday, with love, and wish you were here. Airsteams come to Alaska everyday, don't you know!!!!

The 3rd MRI results are in. The cancer is gone. You heard me. Packed up and left. Flew the coop. Tell it while you're walkin'. According to the radiologist and Dr. O'Malley, "there's no evidence of cancer." A PET scan will be done this Friday to confirm results of the MRI. While MC will still need proton radiation to ensure that no individual cancer cells remain, there will be no anterior craniotomies happenin' in this here family. Instead, MC will have outpatient endoscopic sinus surgery to take a few biopsies for safe measure and clean out her sinuses which, unrelated to the SNUC, have been clogged for years. More to come from the superhero herself......

Finally, a decision

Hi, I'm back from the perfect vacation at the perfect time. I enjoyed the sun, the beach, kayaking, and never gave a thought to the other. Good thing, because when I got home and saw the Dr. at Penn, he of course identified the next step as radiation and chemo. When I asked if instead of doing that he would be willing to "follow me" - after all he can take a little scope and go up and look around quite easily - he said that he would, but would prefer that i have more surgery to remove the dura separating the sinus from the brain, go up and sample the brain and build a new dura. Then he would watch me monthly. After much hemming, hawing, talking with friends who have had cancer, a cancer coach, and an alternative cancer specialist, I have decided to go ahead with the proton radiation and cisplatin chemo for a 6 week period in Florida. Tom and I leave Sunday for a meeting with them on Wednesday. After a CAT scan, it will take them 2 weeks to get everything arranged and i wi...
